Baby Namings
Proud parents and their families are invited to join the congregation in welcoming new additions to their family at Friday night Shabbat Services. The clergy will call the family forward to bless the baby and announce the baby’s Hebrew name. We welcome all members of the community to participate in this service; even if they aren’t yet members at B’nai Torah.
If you are interested, please contact B'nai Torah's office at 847-433-7100 to make arrangements so a Hebrew name can be chosen and the Rabbi can be prepared with a certificate.
Birthdays and Anniversaries
B’nai Torah welcomes members of all ages to join us in celebrating theses simchas at the first Friday night Shabbat Service of each month. The clergy will call those who are celebrating up to the bimah to receive a blessing.
Weddings
The clergy at B’nai Torah are available to officiate at weddings for members of the congregation and their young adult children on Saturday nights, Sundays, and during the week. These marriage ceremonies may be at B’nai Torah or another location if the family requests. Arrangements are generally made early and we suggest you contact B’nai Torah as soon as you begin to make your wedding plans.
Non-members may request marriage ceremonies, but the fee is substantially higher and we suggest membership as an alternative to this higher rate.
For more information about life cycle events, please contact B'nai Torah's office at 847-433-7100.
