Fellow Congregants,
The Rabbinic Search Committee met on 2/9 to review & discuss resumes from rabbis interested in leading our congregation. The meeting started with each member describing the guidelines they used to identify candidates to be contacted for phone interviews with the search committee. The discussion was cordial and very informative. Upon conclusion of the discussion, the committee conducted an open vote to select the candidates.
I’m pleased to inform you that 7 candidates were selected for the first round of phone interviews which will be completed by 2/22. We will then narrow down the field for a second round of phone interviews which we expect to conclude by the end of the month. .
Many congregants have asked if Rabbi Sommer will be included in the search. The answer is yes. I can also tell you that Rabbi Sommer is very eager to continue his relationship with our congregation and genuinely feels the search process will be beneficial to us in the long run.

We are committed to providing a transparent and interactive search process to the congregation. While not permitted to discuss individual candidates, committee members will be happy to discuss any aspect of the process with you. I invite congregants to post any questions or comments on the website or contact the committee members individually.
